Little Red

Here's a collage of an Urban Little Red Riding Hood. I wanted to tweak the original icon of Little Red as much as possible. This entire series is done digitally with Painter 11. I don't usually work digitally and this is my first time using Painter which I really like. The collage aspect has always been intriguing to me and this gives me an opportunity to drown in it...

With the semester coming to a close I have some time to update and I thought I'd put up some digital work that I've done in Corel Painter 11. Basically for an entire semester I focused on collage and one topic: Little Red Riding Hood.

As promised, here she is! Inspired by Sara Bareilles' song "Fairytale." I believe the lyrics sum this piece up best.

The tall blond lets out a cry of despair
Says, "Would've cut it myself if I knew men could climb hair
I'll have to find another tower somewhere
